I’m Harald Koets, I live in Wedde and I am 22 years old. I’m a fourth-year HBO Chemical Technology student at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. In the past six months, I’ve followed a bridging programme for Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Twente. In my spare time I can often be found on the football field, both playing and refereeing. I also enjoy winter sports.
I read an article about Eska a year ago about a father and son who both work at Eska. It showed that they both work with passion and commitment, which gave me a good impression of the company. I also heard from a fellow student that Eska is an interesting company. This makes Eska my first choice for my internship.
My thesis focuses on butyric acid problems. Butyric acid causes odour problems in the product and in the environment. I'm going to deal with how butyric acid is formed and how the bad odours can be resolved/reduced. I’ve already done a six month internship at another company, so I already have some experience in a professional environment. I hope to be able to develop myself further as a starting process engineer.
